Witchcraft and Witch-Hunting : Perceptions, Interventions and Resolution

The practices of witchcraft and witch-hunting, despite cultural regional differentiations, have been able to maintain its global presence. Ubiquitously traced in several countries, the convention accusing killing people, especially women, on charges practicing is prevalent India as well. Resting upon empirical data, we attempt put forth an overview about nature character these from perspective community members residing province which records highest number related killings India, i.e. Jharkhand. An evaluation reasons, well policy interventions place for preventing such region delineated paper. Simultaneously, fortified within emancipatory framework research, steps contending combating this protruding concern also advanced. Putting compendiously, overall quintessence endeavour forward ways bring desired social change, wherein superstition driven customs take adieu.
